In addition to setting up and working on AutoCAD drawings, she was able to create a number of renderings for IA clients outside of Texas. To the left are a few corporate areas that Veronica worked on. The renderings were created using a mixture of AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp and the SketchUp plug-in called Kerkythea.

Summer 2011 Internship

During this internship, Veronica worked on public education projects in California with a team of 3 other designers. She constructed multiple CMF tri-fold boards, detailed the exterior coloration of high schools using illustrator, and pulled samples to create schemes for materials that were chosen. She also communicated with reps on a daily basis for samples, pricing and new products. Images of her work and the design office are to the left.

The doors in the BLUU arch way needed something to block the wind from blowing doors open too fast. Veronica designed 4 different options in Google SketchUp from recessed doors to store front automatic sliding doors. The glass panel option shown above was chosen and is now in use.

The new admissions building need the classic TCU sign in front of it. With Veronica's skills in Google SketchUp, she was able to draw the parking lot and landscape already planned and insert the sign in multiple locations for TCU to decide upon. TCU picked the position is shown the large image, but kept the break in the fence for foot traffic as shown in the top left corner.

TCU Facilities Planning
Summer - Fall 2010 Internship

Veronica gained the opportunity to intern with the TCU Facilities Planning Team the summer after her sophomore year at TCU. She worked closely with both interior designers on the staff in addition to a number of the project managers on higher private school education projects. She attended client meetings, assessed end user needs, reconfigured & designed office spaces including their own resource room, and created 3D visuals to aid in the decision making for different projects around campus. A few of those 3D images and projects are highlighted to the left.
